Oak Therapy offers court-ordered counselling and mandated therapy services for individuals required to attend counselling as part of a court order, probation condition, diversion program, or legal agreement in Ontario and British Columbia. Our services are delivered by a Licensed Social Worker & Psychotherapist with experience working alongside legal systems, probation officers, lawyers, and insurance providers. Our counselling focus is therapeutic, not punitive. We are experienced in preparing Progress Reports, Attendance Confirmation and completion confirmation as required by the legal system with client’s consent, and all counseling sessions will be following with confidentiality and professionalism to support the client through legal matters.

Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)–Related Counselling (ON & BC)

Oak Therapy provides Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)–related counselling service for individuals who experiencing emotional, psychological, or functional difficulties after a car accident. if you are experiencing:

The counselling service can soon begin after an accident or later in recovery, depending on individual needs.

At the same time, when clinically appropriate and with client’s consent, we can provide Insurance and Documentation Support for Treatment participation confirmation; Progress summaries; Psychological treatment updates; Documentation aligned with MVA rehabilitation plans; Communication with insurers or case managers. All documentation follows professional, ethical, and regulatory standards in Ontario and British Columbia. Besides, our counselling is confidential within legal and ethical limits. Information is shared only with consent or insurer requirements, and the focus of our service remains therapeutic purpose but not claim-driven.

While arranging the service, our clients are encouraged to confirm coverage and format acceptance with their insurance provider.

Immigration & Refugee Claimants Counselling (IFHP covered)

Ontario & British Columbia

Oak Therapy offers immigration and refugee–related counselling service that is covered under the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP). We offer service for individuals navigating through the unique mental health challenges associated with immigration, asylum, or refugee processes. Services are designed to support emotional well-being, resilience, and adjustment, while addressing stressors related to legal, cultural, and social transitions. Our sessions are delivered by Licensed Social Worker & Psychotherapist, experienced in working with immigrants, refugees, and their families across Ontario and British Columbia, and Our counselling service is trauma-informed, goal oriented and culturally sensitive.

The counselling service may be appropriate if you are experiencing anxiety, depression, or stress that’s related to immigration or asylum processes; Navigating uncertainty during refugee claims or immigration applications; Facing cultural adjustment or acculturation stress; Managing family separation or relocation challenges; Experiencing trauma related to displacement, conflict, or persecution; Needing support during sponsorship, appeal, or detention processes; Experiencing mental health challenges that impact daily functioning or integration.

Our Counselling sessions are completely confidential, respecting ethical and legal standard. Information will only be shared with client consent or as required by law. When clinically appropriate, our sessions may support documentation for immigration, refugee, or settlement applications. Please note that our therapy services focus on therapeutic and supportive interventions and do not constitute a legal or forensic assessment.

Therapy remains client-centered and clinically driven, not punitive or investigative.

When clinically appropriate and with informed client consent, Oak Therapy will be able to provide documentations such as confirmation of attendance, participation or progress summaries, treatment engagement letters, and completion acknowledgement letter. We could also provide limited communication with lawyers, probation officers, insurers, or employers.

All our documentation will be prepared in accordance with ethical standards, professional scope, and regulatory guidelines in Ontario and British Columbia. Counselling services are confidential within professional and legal limits, with information shared only when consent is provided or when legally required, and therapy is not a forensic or investigative service nor does the therapist determine legal outcomes, as the therapeutic relationship and client well-being remain the primary focus at all times
